GC Service Brief
Rebar placement and reinforcement services provide the steel framework that gives concrete structures their tensile strength and load-bearing capacity. Commercial concrete construction depends on proper reinforcement installation to achieve design performance for foundations, slabs, walls, and structural elements. Accurate placement at specified locations and elevations ensures structures perform as engineered.
Reinforcement placement requires interpretation of structural drawings to position bars, mesh, and accessories correctly. Bar sizes, spacing, splice locations, and cover requirements must all be maintained during installation. We verify reinforcement against drawings before concrete placement to ensure structural requirements are met.
Welded wire reinforcement (WWR) provides efficient slab reinforcement for floor slabs and pavements. Sheet or roll placement, proper overlap, and elevation maintenance ensure WWR performs as specified. WWR works well in combination with or as an alternative to conventional rebar in appropriate applications.
Coordination with other building systems affects reinforcement installation. Embed locations for structural connections, mechanical and electrical penetrations, and post-tensioning tendons must all be accommodated within reinforcement layouts. We coordinate reinforcement installation with related trades to avoid conflicts.
As a general contractor, we provide reinforcement installation as part of complete concrete construction. Direct contracts ensure accountability for proper placement and structural performance.
